The romantic pair Karthi and Tamannaah’s soft and youthful romantic entertainer ‘Paiyaa’ has completed its 100 days run successfully and is still running strongly. The film that was released on April 2nd is remained as one of the few hits of the year.
Paiyaa which is directed by Lingusamy is said to be the first road film made in Tamil. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s
music is an added advantage and is still tapping the music lovers even
after the 9 weeks of its release. With this success, Karthi has got a
hat-trick and Tamannaah has scored her first real super hit in Tamil.
It is heard from the trade reports that
the film has nearly an investment of about 12 crores but it has
collected approximately Rs 35 crores from theatricals and other rights
getting huge profits to its producers.
A leading distributor says “Paiyaa was
a beautiful packaged entertainer from Lingusamy with all essential
ingredients that worked with the mass and class audiences. The extra
edge was provided by Yuvan’s music and the romantic chemistry between
Karthi and Tamannaah was just perfect.”
