King of Pop Michael Jackson has died after a suspected heart attack at home in Los Angeles

 The 50-year-old singer was rushed to the UCLA medical centre after paramedics were called to his Bel Air home on Thursday at around midday local time.

The TMZ website reported that UCLA staff had tried to resuscitate Jackson on arrival at the hospital, but that he was "completely unresponsive".

The singer was due to begin a series of concerts at London's O2 Arena on 13 July.
